Relationship Clarity Sessions

In Austin, TX & Online Across Texas

Sometimes the biggest question is not How do we fix this? It is What is actually happening here — and what needs to change? These sessions are for couples who feel stuck in the in-between.

Not fully in. Not fully out. Not able to keep living in uncertainty the way things are.

Maybe one of you is questioning whether to keep trying while the other still wants to make things work somehow.
Maybe you have been working on it for a long time without meaningful change.
Maybe there are parts of the relationship you deeply value — and parts that are quietly eroding you.

If you are tired of going in circles, this work is meant to help you get clearer.

What this is

Clarity Sessions are not open-ended couples therapy.

They are a structured, time-limited process for couples who need help understanding what is happening, what is not changing, and what continuing would realistically require.

This work is not about forcing a happy ending.
And it is not about rushing separation.

It is about helping both people get honest enough — individually and together — to make a decision they can stand behind with more clarity and integrity.

I will not tell you whether to stay or leave.
The work is helping you see the relationship more clearly, so you can decide what is true.

How this works

This process is steady, structured, and focused.

In Clarity Sessions, we usually:

  • identify the patterns that brought you here
  • look honestly at what has been tried and what has not
  • clarify needs, deal-breakers, and non-negotiables
  • explore what staying would actually require from each of you
  • make room for the emotional and practical reality of either path

What to expect

Clarity Sessions typically include:

  • 120-minute sessions
  • no more than five total sessions
  • structured decision points along the way

This gives enough space for meaningful reflection without letting the process drift indefinitely.

Where this can lead

By the end of this process, couples usually move toward one of three paths:

Recommit
and move into focused couples therapy to repair the relationship

Separate
with more clarity, less chaos, and a more thoughtful transition

Redefine the relationship
with realistic expectations and clearer agreements about what comes next

The goal is not speed.
The goal is clarity.

Is this the right fit?

This may be a strong fit if:

  • you are genuinely unsure whether to stay or leave
  • both partners are willing to participate honestly
  • there is basic emotional and physical safety
  • you want structure instead of more looping conversations

If you already know you want to repair the relationship, couples therapy may be the better starting point.

If you are truly unsure about the future of the relationship, this work can help you get clearer.
